C-Care invests in Meadow’s technology

C-Care, an independent US contract manufacturer, and Meadow, a Swedish technology startup joined forces to bring ultra lightweight aluminium to the HPC market.

This initiative kicks off the investments in filling capacity for the Meadow KAPSUL technology and puts US in the front of the race for cutting-edge circular innovation. By investing in filling capacity for the Meadow KAPSUL, C-Care becomes the first co-packer in the US to build capacity for this disruptive circular technology.

While still in prototyping phase, The Meadow KAPSUL received international attention for its unique intuitive design, accumulating impressive recognitions and awards at global packaging trade shows & design events, having been awarded the ‘Best of the Best’ Red Dot Design Award 2024, and the D&AD Wood Pencil Award 2024 for Product Design. The collaboration with C Care consolidates Meadow’s plan to bring this circular solution to the global market in 2025.

The Meadow KAPSUL revolutionises packaging by transforming aluminium beverage cans into versatile prefill containers. Through a modification to the can’s end, this disruptive technology enables the use of an already optimal container across diverse sectors, including personal care, beauty, home care, and beyond.

Additionally, the Meadow KAPSUL reduces raw material consumption and lightens the can by eliminating the traditional pull tab. The result is a mess-free, premium experience for consumers, and an affordable circular solution for brands to drive circularity at scale.

The new line is expected to be the active in the market by 2025 and marks the beginning of the Meadow KAPSUL filling footprint in the US. Together, Meadow and C-Care will be able to offer turnkey service to support brands to switch to circular packaging and adopt this revolutionary technology.
