Re:Water introduces 330ml aluminium bottle
Premium aluminium bottled water brand Re:Water has introduced a 330ml bottle, expanding its range to give businesses more options to eliminate plastic from their drinks offering.
Designed to be refilled, reused, and fully recycled, the sleek and minimalist 330ml bottle is available in both still and sparkling, and sits alongside Re:Water’s original 500ml size.
A larger 750ml bottle is also set to join the lineup later this year.
Brand research, based on a survey of over 2,000 UK adults and 1,300 professionals in the hotel and travel sector, revealed strong preferences shaping Re:Water’s product expansion.
Among consumers, 78% said they prefer aluminium over single-use plastic or glass.
Meanwhile, 88% of hotel and travel professionals called for a wider range of sustainable options, particularly with the rising costs of glass under the government’s new EPR scheme.
Among the top requests was a smaller aluminium bottle to fit in mini bars and hotel bedrooms – viewed as a more premium, eco-friendly alternative to cartons or cans, and with the added benefit of a lower price point.
Ben Richardson, Re:Water Co-founder, explained: “Our research revealed a strong demand for 330ml aluminium bottles over cartons and cans, especially across hotels, restaurants and catering.
“This new size is ideal for brands and operators looking to remove plastic while offering a premium sustainable solution at a lower-entry point.”
Re:Water Co-founder Matt Crocker added: “The sustainable bottled water market continues to grow rapidly, and as category leaders, we’re evolving to meet the needs of both consumers and businesses.
“With the rising costs of glass packaging under the new EPR scheme, our bottles – made from 100% recycled aluminium and endlessly recyclable – are now more relevant than ever as the sustainable choice for water on the move.”
Since launching in 2021, Re:Water has sold more than 10 million bottles across the UK – that’s 78 bottles every second.
