Work begins on facility in North Carolina

Red Bull

Red Bull, Ball Corporation, and Rauch Fruchtsäfte have officially begun construction on a vast 2.3-million-square-foot production and distribution facility.

Operations are expected to begin in 2028, with the facility set to reach its peak filling capacity by 2031 and produce an impressive three billion cans annually by that time. This production site will feature Ball’s advanced aluminium can manufacturing, Rauch’s filling facilities, and Red Bull North America’s fully automated warehousing and distribution centre, all crafted for optimal efficiency while minimising CO2 emissions, according to official communications.

It will boast 170,000 pallet spaces and incorporate internal conveyor bridges to streamline logistics from can manufacturing to co-packing and ultimately directly to customers, ensuring a reduction in carbon output. Located in Concord, N.C., US, this marks the second integrated manufacturing campus established by Red Bull, Rauch, and Ball Corporation in the US, designed to serve the local and surrounding regions.

The ceremony was graced by notable attendees, including North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Lee Lilley, Concord Mayor Bill Dusch, State Senator Chris Measmer, State Representative Brian Echevarria, Chairman Jeff Jones, Advantage Austria Trade Commissioner Peter Hasslacher, as well as Cabarrus County Commissioners Laura Lindsey and Kenneth Wortman, and members of the Concord City Council.
