Steelforce Packaging appoints Brion S. Talley as CEO for North America
Steelforce Packaging has appointed Brion S. Talley as Chief Executive Officer for North America, as the company strengthens its regional leadership structure under a newly formed Steelforce America entity.
The move forms part of the company’s broader global growth strategy and reflects increasing demand in the North American market, alongside the need for expanded leadership, infrastructure, and commercial focus to support long-term development.
Talley will be responsible for leading regional strategy, commercial operations, and growth initiatives across North America. The appointment follows a period of organisational maturity in the region, with leadership identifying the need for stronger strategic positioning and deeper customer relationships to support the next phase of expansion.
Davide Padovani, CEO of Steelforce Packaging, said the company was seeking a leader capable of combining market expertise with relationship-driven growth.
“We were looking for someone with the knowledge, expertise, and mindset to grow the business in the right way — someone who truly understands the intrinsic value of building relationships,” he said. “Brion checked every box. His track record in the market, his leadership style, and his ability to combine inventory flexibility, broad product capabilities, and innovation made him the clear choice.”
Talley brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the steel and metals sector. He previously served as CEO and president of JFE Shoji America, where he became the first non-Japanese executive to lead a business unit within JFE Shoji Corporation. During his tenure, the organisation — with revenues exceeding $500 million — expanded its presence across automotive, construction, energy, and packaging markets while developing a multicultural leadership team across North America.
His career has included leadership of global supply chain programmes, strategic sourcing initiatives, and large-scale commercial operations. Talley holds an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and a BA from the University of Maryland.
Kurt Crollet, chairman of Steelforce Group, the Antwerp-based parent company, said North America remains a key pillar of the organisation’s international strategy.
“Brion’s experience and leadership strengthen our ability to execute locally while leveraging the full strength of our global network. This appointment reflects our long-term commitment to the U.S. market,” he said.
Talley said he was joining the business at an important stage of its development and intends to focus on expanding partnerships and innovation across the region.
The appointment signals continued investment by Steelforce in leadership capability and operational growth in North America, including within steel supply chains serving the packaging sector.
Steelforce Packaging is part of Steelforce Group, a global steel trading and distribution organisation headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium, supplying materials to industries including packaging, automotive, construction, energy, and manufacturing.
