Can’d Aid send truckloads of water to Texas
Can’d Aid is sending thousands of cans of water to Texas amid shortages in the state.
Nearly 12 million people in Texas have been told to boil tap water before consuming it after a deadly winter storm caused power blackouts at treatment facilities.
The freezing temperatures have also caused water pipes to burst.
Can’d Aid wrote on Twitter: “As winter storms wreak havoc across the state of TX, nearly 13 million lack access to clean water. We are working to provide immediate relief.
“One truckload of canned water is being sent to Austin & another to Houston. Each truckload provides 8,400 people with drinking water.
“Please give what you can today to help ship clean drinking water to Texans in need by donating at http://candaid.org/donate.”
