Lluís Pitarch Casas, 33, head of Ball Packaging Europe for public affairs and sustainable development for Southern Europe, has been elected President of the Economic Interest Group (GIE), The Drink Box, for one year. He succeeds Cyrille Vecchi.

Serving the entire industry, the GIE La Boxe Drink represents the three main producers of beverage packaging in Europe: Ardagh Metal Beverage Group, Ball Packaging Europe and Crown Bevcan Europe.

Every year, French professionals in the can industry fill about 6 billion cans. In line with consumer expectations and firmly rooted in the daily lives of the French, the can, which has just celebrated its 85th anniversary, also has the distinction of being made from metals – aluminum or steel – that are infinitely recyclable.
