Novelis Europe is hiring candidates for an 18-month engineering development programme in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and in the United Kingdom.

In an 18-month trainee programme, Novelis offers young professionals the opportunity to get to know the company and its work areas in a dynamic way. Physical as well as virtual learning opportunities, in addition to hands-on experience in various departments, allow trainees to build a solid technical knowledge of the core processes and their connection to different product areas.

As the world’s largest recycler of aluminum and producer of flat-rolled aluminum product, we leverage aluminum’s unique properties to deliver sustainable solutions to its customers by maintaining a high level of recycled-metal inputs across their product portfolio.

This manufacturing model is said to not only reduce the energy, water, landfill waste and greenhouse gas emissions associated with its operations, but also lowers the carbon footprint of products made using its aluminium.

Novelis recycles more than 74 billion beverage cans each year, turning them back into new beverage cans in just roughly 60 days.

Wolfram Joos, VP Human Resources, Novelis Europe, commented: “The Engineering Development Programme is a rotation programme where young talents are involved in different functions and work in cross-departmental projects allowing them to see beyond their assigned work area.

“We are looking for dynamic, self-driven people who are inspired about our business, eager to contribute to innovative solutions and to accelerate our sustainability journey.”
