Ball Aluminium Cup sent into stratosphere
The Ball Aluminium Cup has seen its popularity go sky high in the months since it launched – and where better to send it than into the stratosphere.
Ball Aerospace took the cup on a trip and posted a picture on social media of its journey.
Along with the tweet, the caption read: “Picture this: The @BallAluminumCup hitched a ride to the stratosphere! Each of the high-altitude balloons carrying this year’s #BIRST payloads rose to nearly 100K ft.! Way to go, #Ballinterns and mentors. That’s a frame-worthy shot!”
The Ball Aluminium Cup has become widely available across the United States in recent months.
The first-of-its-kind creation came about in 2019 and debuted first in Denver-area sporting venues.
It has since gone on to feature at the LA Rams’ So-Fi Stadium and most recently Yankee Stadium announced it would be available for customers throughout 2021 and 2022.
