Gin producer enters RTD can market

A gin producer has launched a new range of canned ready-to-drink beverages.

Based in Leicester, England, Burleighs Gin announced on social media that they will be selling two flavours of gin & tonic in cans.

These will include ‘Signature & Elderflower tonic’ and ‘Pink & Rhubarb tonic’.

In a post on Twitter, the company said: “Burleighs Gin & Tonic cans have arrived! Enjoying your favourite Burleighs Gin & Tonic has never been easier.

“Available in two vibrant flavours, Signature & Elderflower tonic and Pink & Rhubarb tonic.

“Enjoy bar quality gin, wherever you are.”

Sam Watson, commercial director at Burleighs Gin said: “It’s no surprise that canned drinks have become popular as a convenient way to enjoy a refreshing alcoholic drink during outdoor gatherings and events – there’s no need for mixing or glassware, and it makes the overall experience so much easier without compromising on quality.

“We hope guests at Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s upcoming events enjoy this effortless way of savouring a delicious pre-made gin and tonic alongside top class entertainment.”

Head distiller, Charlie Hendon added: “Canned drinks can often lack the flavour and quality of a G&T you’d make yourself, but we were adamant that taste wasn’t going to be compromised for the convenience of our canned gin and tonics.

“Our customers can expect the same quality in our ready to drink gin and tonic as they love in our bottled range.”
