Latamcan returns in full force

Raul Martinez, Latamcan

Raul Martinez, director of Latamcan trade show, provides an update on the eagerly anticipated return of the event, which takes place 22-24 September.

With only a month to go, Latamcan 2021 promises to be the much-awaited return to in-person events for our industry.

With the support of the best known and respected suppliers to the industry, as well as the many can makers who have confirmed their attendance, we are happy to inform that the hotel is fully booked and all preparations are underway to offer the best event possible since the pandemic started.

As most people know, Latamcan 2020 in Sao Paulo was the last event to take place in our industry, right when the pandemic was declared. And now Latamcan 2021 in Mexico City will be the first major in-person event to take place as the world phases out of the lockdown.

The organising team has made a tremendous effort to comply with all the regulations in place by the local authorities. All of these regulations are observed and included in the safety and health protocols in place by the Hilton Mexico City Reforma and Latamcan.

No major restrictions are foreseen, except those we are already used to: face covering is mandatory, as well as the use of hand sanitiser and temperature checks. A negative Covid test will be required to all attendees regardless of their place of origin, even if they are vaccinated. A safe and respectable social distancing should be observed at all times.

This year we will be honouring two very well-known and respected personalities in our industry. We hope you can join us in celebrating the accomplishments of Rudi Roeslein, founder of Roeslein & Associates and Jonathan Ellaby, VP International Operations and Technologies at INX International Co.

We will be welcoming all attendees in a few weeks and if anybody wishes to learn more about who is attending and how to register, please visit www.latamcan.com or contact us at director@latamcan.com.
