Lifetime awards confirmed for Latamcan

Can making trade show Latamcan has announced its two recipients of its 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award.

The winners are Jim Sterling and Antonio Galhardo.

Jim Sterling started working at Owens Illinois in May 1975 where he held several different positions until 1980. In October that same year, he started working at Miller Brewing Co in Moultrie, Georgia, US until June 1992 as Production Supervisor. Stering then went to Reynolds Metals Co. in the same town of Moultrie as a Production Supervisor and moved to Richmond, Virginia where he held the position of Technical Service Manager for Reynolds Metals Co. until October 2000.

From that date until July 2020 he worked as Product Director for Stolle Machinery and in July 2020 was promoted to Director of the Stolle Training Center in Centennial, Colorado.

Antonio Galhardo is a chemist, working for more than 40 years with Can Coatings 2 and 3 pieces (R&D, Technical Assistance, and Manufacture Processes) in Brazil, South America and Asia.

He has experience in multinational companies and now works at ACTEGA do Brasil, with R&D, Technical Assistance, Manufacture Processes, New Applications and New Products for Can Coatings.
