Prime Controls, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to join a global supplier, leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality metal sensing solutions and controls for the can/beverage making industry.

Specialising in Double Metal Sheet Detection and is the world’s supplier of Double End and Missing Tab Detectors for high-speed, easy-open End Presses for food and beverage cans.

This position builds market position by identifying, developing, and maintaining new relationships with key end user can/beverage plants for the metal container industry. Consistently demonstrate a drive and passion for creating sales, relationship building, and satisfying the customer. This position is key to support the continued growth and success of our company. Primary audience includes mechanical or electrical engineers, quality engineers, and maintenance/service personnel.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • This position will mainly focus on can and can end plants
  • Locates potential upgrades by contacting domestic can and can end plants, discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Engage with decision makers through face-to-face meetings, prospecting, and customer meetings.
  • Knowledge and methods for showing, promoting, and selling upgrades and services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
  • Time management skills and personal responsibility to ensure productivity in a self-directed working environment.
  • Represent self as a consultative partner by understanding a customer’s business needs and providing solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relay information to the customer and coordinate with business partners.
  • Critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Ability to define goals, seek information, and make recommendations with minimal supervision.
  • Negotiating skills to persuade others, and provide value added problem-solving approach.
  • Differentiate the quality of our products and services from the competition through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Assists engineering in the development of new products by identifying trendsetter ideas based upon insight gained from industry.
  • Regularly travel to perform customer consultations to determine needs and solutions.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • You must be responsible, creative, and willing to keep on learning.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 2 year of outside sales experience preferred but we are willing to train.
  • Can/beverage making industry or sensor experience is a plus.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, account development, and time and territory management preferred
  • Must bring a high level of enthusiasm, energy, and desire to be successful.
  • Ability to connect with decision makers and build lasting relationships.
  • Comfortable hunting new business.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Glass half full attitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally if required.
  • Sales and customer service (internal/external) focus.
  • Understands big picture company goals and how they are supported by individual success.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
  • Strong work ethic and drive for success.
  • Strong orientation towards teamwork and flexibility towards changing business needs.
  • Ability to travel regularly in the US.
