Intercan announces acquisition of Artisan Rollers
Intercan Group is delighted to announce the acquisition of UK-based Artisan Rollers Ltd.
Intercan is a specialist in can decorating technology, and a manufacturer of proofing machines and decorating equipment based in Milton Keynes, UK. Artisan Rollers are experienced in roller production using various specialist compounds. The deal allows Intercan to diversify its product offering and cater for a broader customer base; particularly in the food production and processing sphere.
In addition to their current responsibilities with Intercan, Peter Strode will take up the role of Managing Director and Marion Dumbleton will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business as Operations Director.

Established in 1987 by husband and wife team Trevor and Cathy Stone, Artisan Rollers was initially set up to engineer the manufacturer and covering of rollers in rubber and polyurethane. The company has since expanded to offer a full range of engineering services to include a wide variety of materials.
Artisan’s philosophy has always been to provide a high level of product quality with high-class customer service. Acquiring Artisan Rollers is a strategic expansion opportunity for Intercan, to secure supply chain whilst enhancing their current product range.
“Artisan’s expertise in roller production positions Intercan to diversify its product offerings and cater to a broader customer base which supports our long-term strategic objectives,” says Marion Dumbleton.
This is the latest addition to the ever-growing SLAC group of companies and demonstrates SLAC’s ongoing commitment to the canmaking industry.
