Cano Water named exclusive supplier for Tortilla company-owned stores
Canned water brand, Cano Water, has expanded its foodservice offering through a partnership with Tortilla, Europe’s leading fast-casual Mexican restaurant group. The move will reduce Tortilla’s plastic waste by one tonne per year, and providing a more sustainable hydration option for customers.
Cano Water’s still and sparkling cans will become the exclusive water option across Tortilla company-owned branches in England, Scotland and Wales from December 3. The canned water will completely replace plastic bottled water options.
The roll out shows Tortilla’s commitment to sustainability across Great Britain, setting a new standard for the fast-casual dining sector. Sustainability is a key part of Tortilla’s strategy, with the group already sending zero waste to landfill, procuring 100% renewable electricity and reducing its food waste through innovative partnerships. Last year, Tortilla saved almost 60,000 meals through its partnership with Too Good To Go and donated 2,500 meals to those in need.
Founded in 2015, Cano Water is an accessible and convenient solution to plastic pollution. On a mission to save 1 billion plastic bottles from landfill by 2030, Cano Water’s packaging is made of aluminium.
Cano Water has gained a cult following with over 60 million cans sold across the UK. Cans are available to buy across various retailers, including, Ocado, Tesco, and Amazon.
