New beverage can facility in Azerbaijan
Quality Pack International Ltd. (QPC) aims to establish a vertically integrated aluminium beverage can manufacturing and non-alcoholic beverage filling factory in the Alat Free Economic Zone of Azerbaijan.
This facility is intended to serve as a regional production hub for local and regional beverage brands, offering both empty cans and filled products.
The factory is slated to begin operations in 2025. With a planned investment of $211 million, the QPC factory will produce and fill aluminium beverage cans in sizes of 250 ml, 330 ml, and 450 ml. The annual production capacity is expected to range between 600 million and 800 million cans, while the filling capacity will be between 300 million and 400 million cans, depending on the composition of sizes. In addition to establishing a new industry, QPC plans to introduce the most advanced technology in aluminium beverage can manufacturing and filling to Azerbaijan.
This initiative will also provide valuable skills to the workforce and supplier network in this modern sector. The investment is projected to create approximately 330 jobs directly, along with additional indirect employment opportunities through various players in the value chain.
Quality Pack International Ltd., a member of the HELL Group, is expected to hold a 51% stake in QPC, with its Azerbaijani partners holding the remaining 49%.
