Yieh Corp has announced it is set to open a new aluminium can and beverage bottling plant in the Yangi Avlod free economic zone in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in June.

Backed by the foreign-invested enterprise East Can Solutions with an investment of US$90 million, the new manufacturing plant will reduce imports of aluminium cans and boost exports.

The 21-hectare facility will create up to 500 jobs, producing up to 2.2 billion cans and 650.9 million beverage bottles annually in both aluminium and PET packaging.

30% of the plant’s output will go to CIS markets, with export revenues expected to reach US$50 million.

The project utilises advanced equipment from the US and Europe with high automation levels, ensuring the production process meets environmental standards.

Yieh Corp was established in 1997 and is headquartered in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is a leading global steel company specialising in the supply of diverse metal products.
