CANPACK to support BNP Paribas Green Film Festival for eighth year

CANPACK Group is continuing its support for the BNP Paribas Green Film Festival, partnering for the eighth consecutive year with one of the world’s most respected environmental arts events.

Taking place from 11-17 August in the heart of Kraków, the festival brings together filmmakers, artists and environmental experts to spotlight critical ecological issues through powerful storytelling, community engagement and education.

“Our partnership with the Green Film Festival reflects CANPACK’s long-standing commitment to promoting environmental awareness and inspiring action in creative and accessible ways,” said Bartłomiej Wojdyło, Sustainability Director Europe at CANPACK. “We believe in the power of storytelling and collaboration to drive meaningful change, and this festival brings those elements together beautifully.”

CANPACK will be contributing to the event with additional activities, including a PIXELATA installation by Every Can Counts. The giant picture, made entirely of aluminium beverage cans, will show the beauty of closed loop recycling and encourage people to recycle their drinks cans. Once the installation is complete, the cans will be recycled at CANPACK’s own facility and transformed into new packaging. A direct example of circularity in action.

CANPACK will also host a special guest meeting with one of the festival’s featured speakers at its Kraków corporate office to discuss the challenges of digital footprint, further deepening its engagement with the festival’s mission and creative community.

“At CANPACK, we view sustainability as a shared responsibility. One that connects our company with our customers, partners and local communities,” Wojdyło added. “It’s an honour to once again contribute to a festival that promotes open dialogue, environmental education, and creative expression.”

Organized by the Green Festival Foundation, the BNP Paribas Green Film Festival is recognized for embedding environmental best practices into every aspect of the event. From zero-waste principles to sustainable logistics. Set against the iconic backdrop of the Vistula Boulevards beneath Wawel Castle, the festival continues to serve as a vital platform for climate awareness, green innovation and collective action.
