Ball launch world’s first ASI-certified aerosol cans with Soffie and Aeroflex
In a global first, Ball Corporation has partnered with Brazilian personal care brands Soffie and Aeroflex to launch aluminium aerosol cans certified by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI).
The ASI certification ensures that the aluminium used in the aerosol cans meets rigorous environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria—from extraction to production. By featuring the ASI seal directly on the packaging, Soffie and Aeroflex are inviting consumers to join a more transparent and sustainable supply chain.
“This is more than a launch; it’s a statement of purpose,” said Victoria Marletta, vice president, commercial of personal and home care at Ball. “These aerosol cans are a tangible example of how we partner with customers to bring sustainability to the shelf, making it simple, visible and scalable.”
Soffie’s new RUN Live and RUN Ultra deodorants are the first ASI-certified aerosol products to hit the global market and are now available on store shelves. Designed for athletes and fitness enthusiasts, the packaging reflects the energy and vibrancy of sports culture while delivering on performance and environmental responsibility.

Aeroflex followed closely with its own ASI-certified portfolio, including deodorants, hair sprays, dry shampoos and body sprays. The move reflects the brand’s commitment to eco-conscious innovation and high design standards.

The development of these cans involved close collaboration across Ball’s commercial, sustainability, supply chain, and R&D teams to ensure the certified aluminium was used correctly and the ASI logo was applied with precision.
