Recycled cans help RNLI
RNLI supporter Richard Davies has been collecting and recycling drink cans and recently donated the £80 he raised to Looe lifeboat station.
In a statement, the RNLI said: “Realising Richard was watching our volunteer crews launch for the HMCG helicopter exercise last Saturday morning, 25 October 2025, the crew took the opportunity to thank Richard and show him the Casualty Care dry bag that was purchased with his donation.
“Our Lifeboat Operations Manager Clive Palfrey and crew casualty care lead Victoria Thomas explained to Richard that the bag will be used to hold a shore side casualty care kit which can be taken to a shore based incident rather than taking one away from the inshore lifeboat as we have done in the past.
“This dry bag will also be a useful aid for classroom casualty care training.”
