Brown-Forman debuts Mexico’s top-selling RTD cocktail in US
Brown-Forman has unveiled the U.S. debut of New Mix, Mexico’s top-selling ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail, marking a fresh chapter in the evolution of premium canned beverages.
Produced and packaged at Casa Herradura in Jalisco, Mexico, New Mix combines the award-winning El Jimador Blanco Tequila with bold, refreshing flavours that capture the vibrant spirit of Mexico. Since its original introduction in 1997, the brand has set the benchmark for authentic tequila-based RTDs—bringing craftsmanship, quality, and convenience together in every can.
According to Mary Beth O’Mara, USA&C Brand Director for Brown-Forman’s RTD portfolio, “New Mix embodies connection, flavour, and the pride of Mexico. We’re excited to share this genuine experience with U.S. consumers looking for authenticity and great taste.”
For its American launch, New Mix introduces two iconic Mexican flavours: Paloma and Cantarito.
- Paloma blends smooth tequila with bright grapefruit notes and a hint of sweetness for a crisp, balanced finish.
- Cantarito layers tequila and citrus liqueur with grapefruit undertones, creating a lively, effervescent drink that celebrates a classic Mexican tradition.
Each 355 mL (12 oz) can contains 5% ABV and will be sold in 4-packs with a suggested retail price of $10.99. Distribution begins this fall across key U.S. markets, including California, Texas, Ohio, Illinois, Nevada, Arizona, New York Metro, New Jersey, and Colorado.
