Silgan announces executive team updates

Silgan Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SLGN), a leading global supplier of sustainable rigid packaging solutions, has announced several senior leadership changes designed to strengthen its executive team and support its ongoing strategic growth.

Effective immediately, Shawn C. Fabry has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Kimberly I. Ulmer has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, and Alexander G. Hutter has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Strategy and Investor Relations.

The company also confirmed that Robert B. Lewis, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Administration, plans to retire from his executive role on 31 March 2026, while continuing to serve on Silgan’s Board of Directors.

Mr Fabry brings over 15 years of experience within Silgan to his new role. He joined the company in 2010 following Silgan’s acquisition of IPEC Closures, where he served as Chief Financial Officer of IPEC Global, Inc. Since then, he has held key finance leadership roles across Silgan’s operations, including as CFO of Silgan Containers, its U.S. metal container business, and Silgan Plastics, its blow-moulded plastic packaging operations. Most recently, as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, he led Silgan’s successful acquisition of Weener Packaging in 2023.

Commenting on the appointments, Adam Greenlee, Silgan’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said:

“Shawn has been an important member of Silgan’s leadership team since joining the company in 2010. His finance leadership across our plastics and metal container businesses has been instrumental in driving performance improvements. He brings a deep understanding of each of our businesses, strong strategic finance expertise, and a unique appreciation for Silgan’s culture to his new role as CFO.”

Ms Ulmer, who has served in a range of senior finance positions during more than two decades with Silgan, will continue to oversee the company’s accounting and consolidated corporate functions in her new role. She has previously served as Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer, and Controller. Before joining Silgan, she held senior financial roles at GE Capital and World Color Press, Inc., and began her career with Coopers & Lybrand.

“Kim has been a key member of our executive team for over twenty years and will continue to lead our accounting and finance functions in her new capacity,” Mr Greenlee said.

Mr Hutter, who joined Silgan in 2018, has also been promoted to Senior Vice President, Strategy and Investor Relations. He previously served as Vice President, Investor Relations, after progressing through a range of roles in financial planning, analysis, and corporate development. Before joining Silgan, he worked at Jefferies LLC in equity research.

“Alex was identified early as a future leader,” added Mr Greenlee. “He will now take on additional responsibility, leading both our Strategy and Corporate Development teams as part of Silgan’s Executive Office. These transitions position us well for a successful 2026 and beyond.”

Silgan also recognised the long-standing contributions of Robert B. Lewis, who will retire from his executive role in March 2026 after more than two decades with the company.

“For over twenty years, Bob Lewis has been a tremendous business partner for our company and for me personally,” said Mr Greenlee. “His disciplined, pragmatic approach and analytical insight have been invaluable to Silgan’s success. We thank Bob for his significant contributions, which will continue to shape the company long after his retirement.”
