Ball’s $2m commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Ball Corporation’s partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America has grown from a local effort in Denver into a nationwide initiative supporting youth education, sustainability and workforce development.

Since 2020, Ball and The Ball Foundation have invested nearly $2 million in programs that promote STEM learning, recycling education and career readiness at Clubs across eight states. The effort coincides with Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s 165th anniversary this year.

The partnership began with a single Club in metro Denver and now includes locations in Colorado, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Virginia, Kentucky and Texas, with plans to expand further in 2026. A major focus has been supporting hands-on STEM and environmental education, including the organisation’s Ultimate Journey program, which teaches conservation and sustainability to youth at more than 700 Clubs nationwide.

Ball has also worked with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment to blend sports and sustainability through community programs tied to Denver’s professional teams. Initiatives include recycling drives at arena events, donations linked to on-court performance, and youth experiences that combine athletics with environmental education.

Beyond funding, Ball employees contribute through volunteering and mentorship programs, including workforce-readiness initiatives in Texas and STEM activities tied to Earth Day events across the country. Since 2013, employees have logged more than 700 volunteer hours with Boys & Girls Clubs and donated more than $50,000 to support local chapters.

Company leaders say the growing partnership reflects a shared goal of expanding opportunities for young people while advancing environmental responsibility — a combination they believe will help build stronger communities for years to come.
