Heinz rolls out limited edition ketchup kegs
Heinz is rolling out a new, party-sized way to serve one of America’s favourite condiments: a keg of ketchup. Dubbed HEINZ KegChup, the novelty item is designed to ensure game-day gatherings never run out of the brand’s signature sauce, borrowing inspiration from the beer industry’s tried-and-true keg format.
Heinz says the launch taps into the growing importance of food on game day, now considered the second-largest food holiday of the year. With most fans watching from home and the majority preparing their own snacks, the company aims to solve a familiar problem—empty ketchup bottles mid-party. The KegChup allows fans to “tap, pour and enjoy” throughout all four quarters, according to the brand.
Standing 19.5 inches tall, the HEINZ KegChup holds 114 ounces of ketchup and features a built-in spigot for easy dispensing.
“On game day, fans unleash their unbridled passion for their teams, and their love for HEINZ ketchup is no exception, making it a must have for every watch party spread,” said Jamie Mack, Associate Director of Brand Communications for HEINZ U.S. “That’s why we’re kicking it up a notch with the HEINZ KegChup – the ultimate game-day companion that gives people the freedom to dip responsibly, with our unmistakably rich sauce flowing all four quarters long.”
