Crown Holdings appoints former Graphic Packaging CEO Michael Doss to board
Crown Holdings has elected packaging industry executive Michael P. Doss to its board of directors, with the appointment taking effect on 3 March 2026. The move increases the global metal packaging company’s board to ten members.
Doss most recently served as president, chief executive officer and director of Graphic Packaging Holding Company from 2016 to 2025, leading the fibre-based consumer packaging manufacturer through a period of growth and strategic expansion. Prior to becoming CEO, he held a range of senior commercial, operational and general management roles during more than two decades with the business.
His experience spans manufacturing, international operations, corporate governance and commercial strategy within the global packaging sector. Doss also currently serves as a director at Regal Rexnord Corporation, a manufacturer of electric motors and power transmission systems.
Timothy Donahue, chairman and chief executive officer of Crown Holdings, said the appointment brings significant industry expertise to the board.
He noted that Doss’s background in packaging leadership, manufacturing and international business would support the company’s strategic direction and governance as it continues to develop its global operations.
Crown Holdings is one of the world’s largest suppliers of rigid metal packaging, including beverage cans, food cans, aerosol containers and closures, serving consumer marketing companies across multiple end markets.
The appointment reflects ongoing board development within the sector, as major packaging groups seek leadership experience aligned with global manufacturing, sustainability and innovation priorities.
