PakTech announces arrival in Mexico
PakTech, a US-based leader in sustainable packaging solutions for food and beverage, announced its arrival in Mexico with a portfolio focused on the Mexican brewing industry, which ranks first globally in exports and fourth in production worldwide.
With more than three decades of experience, the company will begin operations in the country with the goal of offering multipack alternatives that reduce waste and accelerate the shift toward more efficient, recyclable packaging models—serving both craft breweries and large-scale producers.
PakTech operates as an end-to-end provider by combining the manufacturing of carriers made from 100% post-consumer recycled High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)—fully recyclable—with the development of automated equipment for applying them on production lines. This innovative integration enables circular packaging solutions to be adopted without substantially modifying existing industrial processes.
“Today, packaging has become a strategic decision for the brewing industry—not only for operational efficiency, but also for its environmental impact,” said Luis Acacio, PakTech’s Commercial Manager in Mexico.
In the Mexican market, the company will introduce its Can Carrier Applicators, designed to support different production levels within the brewing sector. The portfolio includes three models that provide solutions for 4-, 6-, and 8-can configurations, with throughput between 120 and 180 cans per minute and changeovers for 12- and 16-ounce formats. For high-volume production, PakTech offers solutions of up to 875 cans per minute.
Globally, PakTech holds a broad portfolio of registered patents supporting both the design of its multipack carriers and the automated systems used for industrial application. Beyond their technical capabilities, PakTech innovations help replace single-use materials and reintegrate packaging into existing recycling streams, in line with the environmental commitments adopted by the global food and beverage industry.
To date, the company has recycled and transformed more than 500 billion plastic containers into new packaging as part of its circular-economy approach.
With its arrival in Mexico, PakTech aims to support the brewing and food industries in adopting more circular, sustainable, and technology-integrated packaging through innovative solutions that combine automation, operational efficiency, and verifiable sustainability.
