INTRALOX® INTRODUCES THE S570 TIGHT TRANSFER SYSTEM FOR CAN MANUFACTURING

Intralox®, a global leader in conveyance solutions, continues to advance can manufacturing with the introduction of the S570 Tight Transfer system. Building on decades of innovation in modular plastic belting, the S570 is engineered specifically for the unique demands of high speed can lines. Designed to eliminate dead plates, the S570 system significantly reduces spoilage, enhances uptime, and ensures gentle, reliable handling of even the most challenging sleek cans.

THE S570 OFFERS THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS:

  • Reduce tipped cans and spoilage by 70% compared to dead plate transfers
  • Cut engineering and installation time by roughly 50%
  • Eliminate stranded cans on dead plates and the labor to clear them at label changes
  • Decrease risk of palletizing mixed labels
  • Remove time-consuming and difficult dead plate maintenance especially on hard-to-access conveyors

“We are excited to deliver a purpose solution to the can industry that overcomes dead plate challenges—one of the industry’s biggest pain points for the last 30 years. The S570 marks a new step forward in performance and simplicity.” - Jasper Joosten, Industry Team Leader – Canmaking, Intralox

INNOVATION IN CAN HANDLING

Traditional transfer methods often rely on metal components that can introduce maintenance challenges, product instability, and inefficiencies. The S570 replaces these limitations with a modular plastic solution designed for precision, durability, and ease of operation.

By enabling tight nosebar transfers and reducing mechanical complexity, the S570 helps manufacturers achieve better line performance while simplifying system design.

OUR STORY

Intralox was founded in 1971 by J.M. Lapeyre, a mechanical engineer who saw an opportunity to improve the way conveyance systems were designed and operated. Lapeyre’s vision was to create a modular plastic conveyor belt that could be easily assembled and disassembled for cleaning, maintenance, and modification. This idea was revolutionary at the time, as most conveyance systems were made of metal, which was heavy, difficult to clean, and prone to rust.

The first Intralox conveyor belt was launched in 1972, and it was an instant success. The modular plastic design allowed for easy customization, and the belts were much lighter and easier to clean than traditional metal belts. Intralox quickly became a leading provider of modular plastic conveyor belts, and the company continued to innovate and improve its products over the years. With 1884 patents currently in force around the world, and 368 patents pending, the launch of the S570 Tight Transfer system is just the latest example of Intralox’s commitment to innovation and customer service. We have always placed a strong emphasis on research and development, investing heavily in new technologies and materials. We work closely with our customers to understand their unique needs and challenges, developing customised solutions that help them improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
