PPG to showcase full BPA-NI portfolio at METPACK 2026
Global coatings giant PPG is set to take center stage at METPACK 2026, arriving with a comprehensive suite of bisphenol-NI (BPA-NI) and PFAS-NI solutions designed to navigate the industry’s tightening regulatory landscape.
Located at the gateway of the exhibition (Hall 3, Stand 3D62), PPG’s presence will feature an immersive “walk-through” metal can experience and a digital showcase. The company aims to demonstrate its transition from a coatings supplier to a strategic partner through its new campaign: “Our greatest commitment of all, YOU.”
Advancing the “NI” Standard across Segments
PPG’s exhibit will highlight a “top-to-bottom” protection strategy for the beverage, food, and personal care sectors:
- Beverage: The company’s PPG Innovel® PRO remains the flagship for BPA-NI internal sprays. The portfolio has recently expanded to include PPG Innovel® PRO PPG2489 and PPG ISENSE® PPG5018, providing BPA-NI and PFAS-NI capabilities for easy-open ends (EOE).
- Food: Addressing the pet food market, PPG will feature Nutrishield® Max PPG7590. This white interior coating for aluminum draw-redraw (DRD) cans is notably the first one-component, PVC-NI coil coating in the U.S. formulated without PFAS or bisphenols.
- Personal Care & Bottles: For the burgeoning aluminum bottle market, PPG introduces HOBA® PRO PPG2848. This enhanced coating is specifically engineered to handle the nuances of packaging water, wine, and specialty drinks in aluminum formats while ensuring global regulatory compliance.
Live Insight: The Metal Packager Podcast
In a highlight for the final day of the show, Meghan Barrera, PPG’s Director of Strategic Marketing, Packaging Coatings, will join The Metal Packager for a live podcast interview.

A Strategic Pivot
The launch of PPG’s new customer-centric campaign comes at a time of significant market volatility. By emphasising “confidential planning” and “proven reliability,” PPG is signalling to canmakers and brand owners that its global infrastructure is geared toward absorbing short-term shocks while maintaining long-term R&D momentum.
