VN Graphics expands into secondary packaging
Beverage can prepress specialist VN Graphics has brought the team, customers and creative capabilities of Advertising Arts (AdArts) into its business, in a move that extends its services beyond the can and into secondary packaging.
The transition took effect on 1 November. AdArts has served the packaging industry for almost a century and, under owner Tom Janke, built its reputation on technical knowledge, craftsmanship and personal service. Janke is stepping back and has handed responsibility for the company’s customer relationships to VN Graphics.
VN Graphics is known for its work in beverage can graphics, including colour separations, prepress, pilot printing, platemaking and print production support. With the AdArts team on board, it will now also offer secondary packaging, packaging layouts and related production artwork.
Samuel Courtney, president of VN Graphics, said the additional capacity arrives as the company grows its relationships with beverage brands, can manufacturers and packaging partners.
“In our industry, technology and equipment are important, but it’s the experience and knowledge of the people behind the work that truly make the difference,” he said. “By welcoming talented industry professionals from AdArts, we’re strengthening our team and expanding our ability to support customers with the responsiveness, technical expertise and attention to detail they expect.”
Courtney stressed that continuity was central to the deal, with AdArts customers continuing to work with the same people who know their brands, artwork and production requirements, now backed by VN Graphics’ resources.
“Whether it’s the graphics on an aluminium beverage can or the packaging that surrounds it, our goal remains the same: helping customers bring their products to market with confidence,” he said.
He also paid tribute to Janke: “To Tom, thank you for your trust and for the legacy you’ve built.”
