Trivium Packaging a Supplier Engagement Leader

Trivium Packaging

Trivium Packaging has been awarded with a Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

Companies with the best SERs are recognised as a Supplier Engagement Leader.

The rating comes off the back of Trivium’s A- rating by the CDP in two key categories ‘Climate Change 2020’ and ‘Water Security 2020’.

Jenny Wassenaar, VP Sustainability at Trivium, said: “An organisation’s average upstream emissions are several times greater than its direct operations.

“That shows how important it is to work together with our suppliers to reach our sustainability targets.

“CDP’s rating recognises the efforts we put into our work sustainability work and shows we’re on the right track.”

CDP, a ranking organisation that measures companies’ performance against a range of sustainability criteria, introduced the SER in 2016.

The rating measures how effectively companies are engaging their suppliers on climate change. CDP assesses performance on supplier engagement using a company’s response to selected questions on governance, targets, scope 3 emissions accounting, and value chain engagement in the CDP climate change questionnaire.
