Aluminium packaging for new cosmetics product
Cosmetics brand Juni has launched a new lip care product that is housed in aluminium recyclable packaging.
The brand was founded by makeup artist Madeleine White and has previously developed a lipstick that came in 100% recyclable aluminium.
The Rejuvenating Lip Treatment offers a blend of water-bind and skin-plumping active ingredients that promises to deeply moisturise and ‘repair the lips, stimulate collagen production and soothe sensitive skin’.
The product is microplastic-free, 100% vegan, 75% organic, GM, gluten and fragrance free.
The packaging is also completely free from plastic and is housed in a palm size recyclable aluminium packaging.
Speaking earlier this year about why aluminium packaging was chosen, founder Madeleine White said: “I have grown aware of the huge problem of plastic in the beauty industry.
“Over 142 billion pack units are produced every year around the world in the beauty sector, 95% of beauty packs are thrown away after only one use, and only 14% are transported to a recycling centre. ‘Good plastic’ does not exist.”
