Mountain Dew’s new Flamin’ Hot beverage sells out
Mountain Dew is a popular beverage in the United States and a new collaboration with Cheetos proved just as in demand.
The two PepsiCo brands teamed up to launch a ‘FLAMIN’ HOT’ canned beverage to combine the sweet, citrus taste of MTN DEW with a new spicy edge.
“As a brand, DEW has a rich history of experimenting with new flavors our fans love,” says Matt Nielsten, senior director, marketing, Mountain Dew. “We certainly had them in mind when we developed the FLAMIN’ HOT beverage. This is one of our most provocative beverages yet and we’re excited for DEW Nation to taste the unique blend of spicy and classic sweet citrus flavor of MTN DEW.”
But it may be a while before fans are able to get their hands on it as it sold out almost immediately.
It went on sale on August 31 exclusively online, but the company posted later that same day that supplies had gone.
A post on Twitter said: “MTN DEW FLAMIN’ HOT has sold out. We apologize to anyone who was in the process of trying to order when we sold out of our inventory. As always, stay tuned to our social channels for future Dew Store programs.”
