Virgin Atlantic offer canned water on flights

Virgin Atlantic says it will offer cans of water instead of plastic bottles in Upper Class on flights.

The airline says this move will help reduce its plastic usage by four million bottles a year.

The company has chosen to go with CanO Water and posted about the news on social media.

Virgin Atlantic tweeted: “Making a splash with @canowater.

“We’re so pleased to be offering these sustainable cans of water instead of bottled water in Upper Class on all flights.

“This small but important change will help us reduce our plastic useage by a huge 4m bottles a year.”

CanO Water was founded in 2015 by three friends who saw first-hand the damaging impact single use plastic bottles have on our environment after a trip to Thailand.

The CanO Water product is an infinitely recyclable alternative to plastic bottles and is the world’s first mass market, canned water alternative.

The product is also available in Tesco’s, Londis, Budgens, SPAR, Selfridges, Buckingham Palace, ZSL London Zoo, The UK Houses of Parliament and House of Lords and over 5000 other locations.
