Industrial Physics acquires Steinfurth

Industrial Physics has acquired Steinfurth, a specialist in producing control instruments and solutions for the beverage, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

For more than 80 years, German based organisation Steinfurth has been developing and producing CO2 measuring instruments, logger systems, carbonation systems, laboratory shakers, beer analysis instruments, and package testing equipment.

This acquisition will further strengthen Industrial Physics’ solutions in the food, beverage, and packaging industries. Steinfurth’s instruments can be used to test across a wide breadth of applications that ensure the integrity of beverage packaging.

These applications complement Industrial Physics’ existing portfolio of solutions in this space – Industrial Physics’ equipment is delivered through a number of brands, including CMC-KUHNKE, Quality By Vision, Eagle Vision, Systech Illinois, and TM Electronics brands.

Over the years, Steinfurth and Industrial Physics have supported many of the same global players in the food and beverage packaging space. Industrial Physics’ global sales and service presence will help expand Steinfurth’s offering to the USA and Asian Markets.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Steinfurth and its employees to grow to the next level using the sales and service power of Industrial Physics”, states Johannes Angres, managing director of Steinfurth.

“It opens up the opportunity to reach Industrial Physics customers who aren’t already benefiting from the Steinfurth product line and vice versa. The synergies of products, technical resources, and sales and service staff will significantly enhance the value we can provide our customers”, expands Martin Falkenstein, co-managing director. Mr. Angres and Mr. Falkenstein will continue as managing directors of Steinfurth.

“I am delighted to complete this highly-strategic acquisition”, says Jim Neville, CEO of Industrial Physics. “Steinfurth rounds out our portfolio of test and inspection solutions for the food and beverage industry.

“I am delighted the Steinfurth team chose Industrial Physics as the platform to take Steinfurth to the next level. I look forward to working with the Steinfurth team as they are recognised as a strong organization in the industry.”
