Curious Brewery to install new canning line

Curious Brewery will add a canning line to its site in May as the Kent-based brewery continues its investment.

The brand, backed by Risk Capital Partners, recently installed a £400,000 state-of-the-art bottling line.

These will allow Curious to sell its full range of premium productions, which include Curious Lager Brew, Curious Session IPA, Curious Apple Cider, Curious Porter, and the newly-launched Curious Pilsner.

Beer Today reported the brewery will add the canning line in May to ‘control all aspects of the production and product quality in house, from brewing through to the finished packaged product’.

Simon George, managing director of Curious Brewery, said: “2022 has got off to a fantastic start with our latest product launch, Curious Pilsner, which is already proving a hit with our customers.

“The considerable investment in our SALSA-accredited packaging facilities, also demonstrates our further commitment to the future of the Curious Brewery as we continue to grow this business.”

Private equity firm Risk Capital Partners acquired the business from Chapel Down last year.

They appointed two brewing heavyweights to oversee the operation with Simon George, former UK head of Budweiser Budvar, joining as managing direction, and Mark Crowther, former CEO of Liberation Group, becoming chairman.
