Krones has announced the imminent acquisition of 100% of Netstal Maschinen AG (Netstal) based in Naefels, Switzerland, from KraussMaffei. 

The contracting parties signed the purchase agreement yesterday. The transaction is subject to approval under the relevant antitrust legislation. 

Krones expects the transaction to be completed within the first half of 2024.

Krones offers lines for the beverage industry and food producers: process technology, filling technology, packaging machines, all the way through to IT solutions. 

Every day, millions of glass bottles, cans and PET containers run through a Krones line.

The company is headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, and employs around 17,200 people worldwide. 

Consolidated sales in 2022 totalled 4,209 billion euros. Around 90% of Krones’ products are sold abroad.
