Atlanta Braves partners with Ball

Atlanta Braves announced a partnership with Ball Corporation to add aluminium beverage packaging to Truist Park.

Ball Aluminum Cups will be available at Truist Park bar locations.

On LinkedIn, Ball said: “Enjoy sports and entertainment this season at Truist Stadium with the Ball Aluminum Cup, available across the park. They’re infinitely recyclable, so you can score big when it comes to living sustainably.”

“We are looking forward to offering Ball Aluminum Cups at Truist Park,” said Jim Allen, Senior Vice President of Corporate and Premium Partnerships, Atlanta Braves.

“Not only are the cups sustainable and recyclable, but they will help us continue to provide a premium fan experience by keeping beverages cold. With a Ball Corporation manufacturing facility in Rome, Georgia, this partnership is also another way for the organisation to continue to support Braves Country.”

“With its vast influence and reach, sports and entertainment has the power to be a true vehicle for change,” said Dan Fisher, CEO and President of Ball Corporation.

“At Ball, we’re committed to partnering with venues, teams and players to make a difference in sustainability by increasing use of recyclable aluminium beverage packaging, strengthening in-venue recycling and educating fans on how they can live more sustainably.”

All five sizes of Ball Aluminum Cups, ranging from 9 to 24 ounces, will be available to fans at the ballpark. At least 2.5 million cups are expected to be distributed during the 2024 season. The partnership will also include park signage and recycling initiatives throughout the season.

Ball designed the aluminum cups in response to growing consumer preference for more sustainable products.

The cups are composed of 90% recycled content, the highest recycled content rate of any beverage packaging in its category. In addition to its sustainability and recycling strengths, the aluminium cup is lightweight, sturdy, cool to the touch and provides an elevated drinking experience.
