Karlsteiner Druckmaschinen unveils new printing machine

Karlsteiner Druckmaschinen (KDM), a subsidiary of R&W Druckmaschinen Service, has introduced its MR130 Metalcolor machine.

R&W Druckmaschinen Service has been in the printing industry since 1999, specialising in the provision of spare parts and services for manroland R900 Sprint machines. With technicians boasting over 35 years of experience in the field, R&W has also built a strong reputation for its work in servicing, relocating, and overhauling metal decorating offset printing machines.

KDM has designed the MR130 with German engineering standards at its core. The company takes pride in keeping the design and engineering processes in Germany, where it employs its own team of engineers to ensure the highest quality.

Once the engineering is complete, KDM integrates advanced electronics, software, and safety features, also in Germany, to produce a machine that meets the exacting standards of the printing industry.

KDM has partnered with renowned brands to enhance the MR130’s performance. The machine is equipped with a BECKHOFF control system, along with components from industry leaders like Tresu, TEC, Böttcher, and a sophisticated drying system from IST.

In addition to the machine’s technical prowess, KDM emphasises its commitment to customer support. The company has a global network of technicians ready to assist with any printing machine issues, ensuring that customers are never left without help. To further enhance service, KDM offers data glasses with every first machine purchase, allowing for remote troubleshooting and support via virtual reality and Teams, potentially eliminating the need for expensive and time-consuming on-site visits.

The MR130 is reportedly at a competitive price point, thanks to a strategic production approach manufacturing in China and finalising optimisations in Germany.
