Coca-Cola recalls 13,000 cases of cans
Coca-Cola has recalled over 13,000 cases of Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade after discovering that some cartons were mistakenly filled with the regular, full-sugar version, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The FDA classified this as a class II recall, indicating a “health hazard situation” with a low risk of adverse health effects.
Each can of Minute Maid Lemonade contains 40 grams of sugar, as noted in its product details on Amazon.
The affected 12-pack cartons were distributed to stores in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Consumers can identify the recalled items by checking for the codes FEB1725CNA or FEB1725CNB on the packaging.
Though the recall began in early September, no public announcement was made initially. Coca-Cola later stated that “no affected product remains on shelves, and all recall procedures have been completed in those regions.”
Despite this, the FDA still lists the recall as ongoing.
