Sonoco has unveiled the new identity of its European metal packaging business, previously known as Eviosys – now Sonoco Metal Packaging EMEA.

With the integration of Eviosys, Sonoco’s presence in the EMEA region has surged from 14% to more than 40% of the Company’s global sales. The acquisition positions Sonoco, already an established leader in metal packaging in the United States, as a pivotal player in the European packaging landscape.

Now the world’s largest metal packaging manufacturer, Sonoco has almost quadrupled the number of its metal packaging plants worldwide through the acquisition.

Speaking on the announcement Howard Coker, President and CEO of Sonoco, said: “Today marks a significant milestone as Eviosys officially becomes Sonoco Metal Packaging EMEA.
