Ball’s beverage cans among Brazil’s Alterosa winners
Two projects produced by Ball in Brazil stood out among the winners of the Alterosa 2024 Award, an initiative that recognises the most beautiful cans in Brazil by popular vote. This year, the cans of customers Masterpiece and Pitú were chosen by the public as the most appreciated cans in two categories.
The Alterosa is an award that values creativity, originality and innovation in graphic design applied to packaging, consolidating cans as elements of cultural expression and brand identity. Check out Ball’s winning projects:
Masterpiece Brewery x Mother’s Day
Masterpiece Brewery, with its Mother’s Day Special Edition, secured first place in the Sets category, which awards sets of cans that form a unique visual composition. The Masterpiece can set was a special launch to celebrate Mother’s Day, in May this year. The campaign, called ‘Beer Moms’, aimed to highlight mothers who enjoy beer.
“Every detail of these cans reflects the essence of Masterpiece: innovation, beauty and sustainability. More than award-winning packaging, they represent our commitment to creativity and the planet. We continue to celebrate each victory with gratitude and reinforce our mission to make Masterpiece the most sustainable brewery — and now also the most awarded in Brazil”, affirms André Valle, CEO of Masterpiece Brewery.
Pitú x Carnival
Pitú, with its Carnival Special Edition, won second place in the Distillates category. The Pitú can was launched during Carnival this year, in March. The can was inspired by the works of Brazilian artist Bajado and brings cultural elements of the Brazilian carnival.
“The art on the can and the concept ‘Contains Carnival’ sought to represent the joy and cultural diversity of this festival and how much Pitú is part of this context. We were super happy with the result of the layout and proud of the award recognition”, says Maria Eduarda Ferrer, Marketing Manager at PITÚ.
Masterpiece and Pitú are long-time Ball customers. They have made it a tradition to launch cans with new labels on special occasions and bring innovation and sustainability to its projects.
