Klüber Lubrication and OKS join forces
Specialty lubricant manufacturers Klüber Lubrication and OKS Spezialschmierstoffe are set to join forces under the umbrella of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities (FCS), a subsidiary of the Freudenberg Group.
Both companies are recognised as global leaders in their respective markets and will continue to operate independently, maintaining their established brand identities and focus areas. The integration of OKS into Klüber Lubrication’s structures will take effect on 1 January 2026.
The move is designed to create a stronger, more resilient organisation by pooling resources in sales, production and research and development. Klüber aims to consolidate its position as an OEM partner across multiple industries, while OKS will reinforce its role in the Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) sector and expand its network of international distribution partners.
“We aim to serve our customers from a single source,” said Wolfgang Sammer, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing at Klüber Lubrication. “This ensures that our customers benefit from a unified offering that simplifies procurement and enhances service continuity.”
Diana Stirner, CEO of OKS, added: “Combining OKS’s expertise with technical trade partners and Klüber’s global sales infrastructure opens up new avenues for growth and tailored solutions worldwide.”
Together, the two brands bring nearly 150 years of combined experience and have developed more than 2,000 products designed to save energy, reduce resource consumption and improve workplace safety. With over 2,600 employees, operations in nearly 100 countries and combined sales exceeding €1 billion, the partnership strengthens Freudenberg’s position as a leading force in the global specialty lubricants market.
