Sonoco debuts at London Packaging Week

Sonoco Metal Packaging EMEA made its first UK appearance at London Packaging Week 2025, marking a major milestone following its acquisition of Eviosys earlier this year. 

The world’s largest metal packaging manufacturer used the event to showcase a series of sustainable innovations and unveiled a new Augmented Reality tool aimed at transforming packaging development.

Stéphane Viret, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said the debut underscored growing demand for packaging that balances sustainability with creativity and speed to market.

He said: “London Packaging Week 2025 marked our official UK debut as Sonoco Metal Packaging EMEA, a standout moment in our calendar. Across the exhibition, a consistent thread came through clearly: brands are seeking packaging that delivers on sustainability without compromising design, speed to market, or consumer connection. 

“That’s where our 2027 trend concepts, unveiled at the show, really resonated – sparking meaningful conversations about how younger consumers are reshaping expectations and how brands can respond with packaging that’s both purposeful, playful and premium. 

“Our new augmented reality tool also struck a chord, showing how digital innovation is streamlining decision-making in an increasingly agile FMCG landscape. It was an honour to exhibit and the energy at the show gave us plenty of inspiration to take back into the design studio.”
