Antares Vision releases new aerosol can inspection system
Antares Vision Group has unveiled the Genius PolyView CTI (Can Top Inspection), a next-generation machine vision system developed through its Applied Vision Corporation division. The system sets a new benchmark in quality control for monobloc aerosol containers, delivering enhanced precision, reliability, and speed in can top inspection.
The Genius PolyView CTI inspects critical features such as the neck, under bead, shoulder, and, for the first time, the thread area on bottle cans. Incorporating DoubleTake Technology, it captures dual images with different lighting geometries to identify subtle defects while reducing false rejects.
Compact, lightweight, and easy to integrate, the unit operates at up to 250 cans per minute and is compatible with all major neckers, including Hinterkopf and Mall Herlan systems. Installation takes under five minutes, and the system runs on Applied Vision’s proven Genius software platform.
Having surpassed 2.5 million inspection cycles in testing, the CE-compliant system demonstrates long-term durability and performance stability.
“Genius PolyView CTI represents a major step forward in aerosol inspection technology,” said Walter Calabrini, Metal Container Product Manager at Antares Vision Group. “We’re offering manufacturers a powerful new option for ensuring consistent product quality and process control.”
The launch reinforces Antares Vision Group’s commitment to driving innovation in machine vision inspection and supporting manufacturers in improving quality assurance, operational efficiency, and brand protection.
