Ball reports higher beverage can shipments in Q3
Ball Corporation has reported a solid third quarter, driven by higher global beverage can volumes.
The aluminium packaging giant posted a 12.1% increase in comparable diluted earnings per share (EPS), as demand for sustainable packaging solutions continued to strengthen across key regions.
On a US GAAP basis, Ball recorded third-quarter 2025 net earnings attributable to the corporation of $321 million, or $1.18 per diluted share, on sales of $3.38 billion, up from $197 million, or $0.65 per diluted share, on $3.08 billion in 2024. Comparable diluted EPS rose to $1.02, compared with $0.91 a year earlier.
Global aluminium packaging shipments increased 3.9% year-on-year, supported by higher mid-single-digit growth across Ball’s North and Central America, EMEA, and South America segments.
The company returned $1.27 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends during the first nine months of 2025 and remains on track to return at least $1.5 billion by year-end.

Regional Performance
Beverage Packaging, North and Central America
Comparable operating earnings for the region rose to $210 million on sales of $1.64 billion, compared with $203 million on $1.46 billion in Q3 2024. Volume grew mid-single digits, driven by strong demand for aluminium cans and favourable pricing dynamics.
Beverage Packaging, EMEA
In Europe, the Middle East and Africa, comparable operating earnings increased to $147 million from $128 million, with sales rising to $1.06 billion from $950 million a year earlier. The company reported mid-single-digit volume growth supported by robust shipments and favourable currency translation.
Beverage Packaging, South America
Comparable operating earnings in South America reached $80 million on $508 million in sales, up from $78 million on $484 million in 2024. The region saw steady mid-single-digit volume growth, reflecting healthy beverage consumption and solid customer demand.
