hubergroup announces price rise amid Middle East conflict
Printing ink manufacturer hubergroup has announced a price increases across its European portfolio, as rising raw material costs and geopolitical tensions continue to squeeze margins.
The company said it will implement an “inflation correction” affecting a broad range of inks and related products, with increases varying by segment but applied across the board.
Hubergroup linked the latest price rises not only to ongoing supply chain instability, but also to escalating geopolitical pressures — including the conflict in the Middle East — which it said are driving further volatility in energy and raw material markets.
A press release from hubergroup said: “As the geopolitical situation out of the Middle East continues to evolve, we are maintaining our rigorous monitoring protocols to protect the continuity of our and your operations. Our primary focus remains the stability of our global supply chain, leveraging our backward-integrated production to mitigate external shocks.
“While we are successfully keeping our manufacturing hubs running, this situation requires constant vigilance to ensure that we continue supplying our customers without significant interruption.
“We are currently observing multiple inflationary effects propagating across various value chains. These dynamics — driven by fluctuating shipping rates, logistics capacity constraints, and shifting raw material costs — remain highly volatile and difficult to predict with precision at this stage.
“Because these costs are mounting and dynamic in nature, we shall most likely have toadjust our pricing in due course to reflect the shifting market realities. We will continue to monitor all developments closely and implement these and further adjustments as the situation dictates.
“Our sales teams in the different countries will be reaching out to you directly to discuss how these changes may impact your specific requirements. In the meantime, if you have urgent questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact your dedicated hubergroup representative or reach out to us at merit@hubergroup.com.
“We are committed to providing you with transparency and orientation during this period of uncertainty. To that end, we will provide weekly updates here to keep you informed of any further developments in our operational status or the broader market environment. Rest assured, serving our customers remains our top priority.”
