Pepsi and NFL create limited edition cans
Pepsi have partnered with the NFL to create some limited edition cans to celebrate the four most popular teams in Mexico.
The popularity of the sport in Mexico continues to grow with the country hosting games since 2016.
The Estadio Azteca in Mexico City has hosted matches in 2016, 2017 and 2019 but the game in the 2020 season was shelved due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Pepsi have now created a new collection of cans inspired by the teams with the greatest following in the country.
Mauro Porcini, SVP & Chief Design Officer at PepsiCo, said: To kick-off the 2020-2021 football season, our PepsiCo Design team in Mexico partnered with the National Football League (NFL) to create an inspired collection of limited-edition cans celebrating four of Mexico’s most beloved football teams: the Las Vegas Raiders, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots.
“Each can features a player in action—a receiver, kicker, runner, or quarterback in the team’s uniform and colours – honouring the ritual of football and its fans, in Mexico and across the world.”
