Helvetia expands can production by 30%

Helvetia Packaging’s can manufacturing facility in Saarlouis, Germany, is increasing its capacity by 30% this year.

Helvetia Packaging AG was formed in 2013 by Rolf Ostmann with the aim to establish an independent supplier of beverage packaging.

Before the expansion, the company Currently Helvetia Packaging AG produced 33cl and 50cl aluminium beverage cans on a convertible production line as well as aluminium beverage can ends with around 150 employees at Lisdorfer Berg, Saarlouis at a maximum capacity of around 1.2 billion cans and ends per year.  

The company has been producing beverage cans with 330ml and500 ml contents on one line since 2015 and the corresponding lids on another line. The line will be finished in 2021.
