Hyperion Materials & Technologies has announced that Robert L. Wood has joined the company’s Board of Directors.

Wood is a partner of The McChrystal Group, a consulting firm specializing in leadership development for business organizations. Currently, Mr. Wood also serves as a director of MRC Global, Univar, and Linde. In addition, he serves as a director for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

Prior to joining The McChrystal Group, Wood was the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Chemtura Corporation, a specialty chemicals company, from 2004 until 2008. He also served in various senior management positions over a 27-year career at Dow Chemical Company before joining Chemtura. Wood previously served as a director at Praxair and Jarden.
