Sam Young Ink & Paint

Sam Young Ink & Paint, the South Korea-based Toyo Ink Group company that manufactures and sells inks, coatings and adhesives, has celebrated its 50-year anniversary.

A commemorative ceremony to mark this momentous milestone took place virtually between Group locations in South Korea and Japan.

During the event, online congratulatory remarks were made by Group chairman/CEO Kitagawa and Group president/COO Takashima. Afterwards, employees at Sam Young Ink & Paint’s head office were treated to an appreciation buffet lunch, with social distancing precautions in place.

The company has been the only metal decorating ink producer of Korea since 1976 and they develop and produce through a technical partnership with TOYO, Japan, for 3-piece (tubes, food tubes, caps,) and two-piece (beverage can) surfaces. For beverage tubes, the company have successfully developed water-based and oil-based ink for the first time for high concentration and high-speed printing.
