BrewDog has teamed up with heavy metal band Iron Maiden to create a new canned beer.

The brewer has worked with the band to create Hellcat – a 6% ABV India Pale Lager, which is set to be launched later this year.

A tweet by BrewDog founder James Watt said: “BrewDog USA X @IronMaiden is coming soon!

“We have teamed up to brew Hellcat — a hopped-up, feisty 6% ABV India Pale Lager.

“We are launching later in 2021.”

Last week, the Scottish brewer announced a new Hazy IPA in collaboration with the Co-op to celebrate BrewDog’s B-corp status and their Lost Forest.

BrewDog is also selling its glass bottling line as it plans to shift towards cans in an effort to reach net-zero carbon emissions.

The Scottish brewer has listed its Krones 46,000 BPH Glass Bottling Line on Ebay for £2million.

The machine was installed in 2017, but the buyer will have to pay for it to be removed.

So far it has been obtaining 84 views per hour with 122 watchers, following BrewDog co-founder James Watt’s Twitter announcement.
